Claire Edgar is Executive Director for Adults, Wellbeing and Health Partnerships and Director of Adult Social Services at Surrey County Council. A qualified social worker, she has over 20 years' experience in local government and adult social care, having held senior leadership roles at Southampton City Council, Wiltshire Council and Sheffield City Council. Claire has led transformation and service improvement programmes across adult social care, public health and community wellbeing, with a particular focus on prevention, partnership working and improving outcomes for residents. She is also Chair of the National Adult Safeguarding Network & currently a lead on delivering Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) at Surrey County Council.
